Parco del Vecchio Passeggio
It is the largest park in the city centre, covering an area of approximately 21,000 square metres. The historical events that influenced its current structure are closely linked to the evolution of the buildings that, in part, still stand today around or inside the park: the Franciscan convent and the Ospedale Maggiore hospital. In 1973, the “Vecchio Passeggio” park was opened to the public.
The park is home to numerous species of trees and shrubs and a remarkable variety of fauna.
