Palazzo Trecchi
Built by Marquis Giacomo Trecchi in 1494, it was completely rebuilt in a neo-medieval style inspired by Romanticism in 1843 by Marquis Alessandro Trecchi, a fervent supporter of the Risorgimento.
The façade was embellished with neo-Gothic ornaments, battlements and a corner turret.
A large atrium leads to the courtyard, which was also remodelled and decorated in neo-Gothic style in the 19th century, painted with red and ochre stripes and a string course.
The red Verona marble columns date back to the 16th century and come from the destroyed library of the Augustinian Fathers attached to the church of St. Augustine.
The palace hosted Giuseppe Garibaldi several times during his visits to the city.
