Teatro Filodrammatici
One of the first theatres built in the city. Still in use today as a theatre and cinema
It was one of the first theatres built in the city: commissioned in 1670 by the Ariberti marquises, it was intended for private use, with an elevated passageway, still visible today to the south-east, connecting it to the residential palace.
Converted into a religious oratory by the Filippini fathers, it remained open for worship until 1798. Subsequently, the architect Faustino Rodi restored it to its original function as a theatre for public use in the architectural form still visible today, completed in 1807.
